#1 of 7 Cycle Life Challenge

It was colder than the forecasters led me to believe it would be, but not only was there no snow… there was full sunshine.

It was good to ride and the ride had nothing special about it as it is a route I ride often when I am on a solo trip around home. I got to Safeway and purchased the goods that would qualify for my first ride of the challenge.

I passed up the Girl Scout cookie sellers at the entrance to the store. I hadn’t realized it was cookie season already!

This next sign intrigued me. I am not a coffee drinker, so I didn’t even look into this drink, but it does not sound appealing to me. Maybe it is something that would go well with Greg’s White Meal.

Lol the addition to the white meal. I don’t think I want to know what a Rice Krispy latte is. The bananas looked good. I’ll be right up.

Yes, that rice krspy latte vision is not too appetizing!

Riding year round when it has to be as cold up there as here, makes you my hero! I love where we live, but I do miss being able to go to the market on my bike. It’s been so long since I’ve been on my bike, that I’m sure the tires need some air.

Nice to be someone’s hero, but the month of February had all of us around here more or less house bound!! At least I did a lot of walking during that time. I think I rode my bike a total of 5 times that month and two of them were around the Tunnel Ride in Seattle. It is indeed now still cold, but I have the right gear to keep comfortable while riding in the weather. I love doing my errands by bike, and often save a list of things to chores and errands to bike for.

I’m not a coffee-drinker either, but it would make more sense to me as “Rice Krispie BAR latte” – then there could be some marshmallow sweetness involved? Glad you could get out on the bike!

I cannot quite picture this latte, and cannot think of anything that might improve on it! I will try to find someone who has had one so I can inquire about it!

I’m with Emily–The Rice Krispie BAR latte makes a lot more sense. Just like the “3-piece White Dinner” sticker should have read “3-piece White MEAT Dinner.”

Well, there was WHITE cole slaw, WHITE bread and WHITE chicken. So all white meal. So Rice Krsipies are kind of white, and lattes have white cream, and a Rice Krispie Latte seems like something that would fit right in for the meal, as well as for the diner itself —- “different”. I mean, it does also provide a car wash.

The idea of a rice crispie latte makes my stomach hurt, so no thanks for that. Whidbey caught my attention though, because we’ll be biking across Whidbey Island this summer when we bike back to Portland from Victoria. If you’re around we should meet up over a beverage somewhere – but I won’t be having a rice crispie latte.

That could be fun if we are here when you are traveling through. My partner Susan and I just bought a camper van that we will be picking up at the beginning of summer (they say). That and having the grands now living in California may take us away from home more than usual. So we will leave it at if we are here, let’s get together. So let’s keep in touch about it all.
