Challenge of the month, April 2020: more of the same, please!

I hate to risk further swelling Greg’s already oversized ego, but I think his idea for a monthly challenge was brilliant and timely.  If you’re like me, you’re finding it therapeutic and comforting  to open up these posts and listen to such a variety of music.  Unless anyone thinks otherwise, I propose that we continue on the same theme for another month, at least.  Thanks, Greg!

This is just a placeholder for now. I’ll add a real description when I get more time.

You don’t have to worry about swelling MY ego because I don’t think it can GET any bigger. After all, I AM the reigning “Egomaniac of the Year” according to the National Society of Psychology and Stuff. So keep the songs coming!

Another reason to keep the songs coming is so I can learn about songs like “Without a Song” and soulful singers like Alberta Hunter. I hadn’t heard of either one of them before I saw your post.

Wonderful song Scott. Like Greg, I had not heard of Alberta Hunter nor “Without a Song”. Love it.

I’m so surprised by this. I almost didn’t post this song because I thought it might be too trite, something everyone knows. I forget now why I know it, but it’s been part of my life since childhood.

I’d not heard of Alberta Hunter though, it I fell in love with this version as soon as I heard it.

Good idea, Scott! Music is good for all of us and we all have access to it, riding outdoors or indoors or in past memories. It’s not like trying to find rocks or anything. lol
