A FEW ‘PRETTY’ ROCKS

I have been enjoying seeing all the rocks that everyone has posted. And learning so much as well.

We are having quite the spell of rain, with snow forecast over the next couple of days. I have been fortunate to find early morning hours to get on my bike for some riding before a “storm” finds us.

I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and these rocks may not seem like pretty rocks to you, but they matched my criteria of being nice enough to deserve a stop and look ;’-)

I have one or two more rock “themes” in mind, but need to get more than one photo to make it a theme ;’-). I am liking not only looking for different rocks, but being aware of so many rocks around everywhere.

Wow! Yes they are! Particularly the second and the last photo — but all of them are great.
Boulders intruded by different minerals are fascinating.

Are those from the area or possibly placed there by landscapers?

Do you or anyone know how to post on the Forum?
I tried to post a bicycle related subject there, but it appeared here, so I removed it.
Might be kinda neat to have a place for bicycle related topics that are apart from our rides.
    Just a thought.

Thanks Rich. If I had to guess, I would say that most or maybe all of these rocks have been placed by a landscaper or the homeowner. I think they are most likely from the general area, but not sure of that either. ;’-/.

I have often wondered, and at times asked, the same thing about a forum fo reposting questions other topics, but I have not idea if that is possible. When I go to ‘forums’ I don’t see how one enters anything there. Perhaps admins can set us on the correct path here?

TO POST A NEW TOPIC TO THE FORUM:

    (1) Go to the Forums page

    (2) Scroll down a little to see the list of topics

    (3) Under the title of each topic you’l see something like “Started by: Scooter in: Website forum”

    (4) For any one of those topics, click the “Website forum” link

    (5) No matter which one you click, it will lead you to this page: http://cycle365.life/forums/forum/test-forum/

    (6) On that page, scroll down to the heading “Create New Topic in “Website forum”

    (7) Beneath that heading you’ll see the fields for inputting the name of the new topic as well as your message for that topic

Don’t ask me why it’s so complicated! All I did was poke around until I figured out how to do it. There might be a better way to do it, but I don’t know what it is.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks Bill. I will try this next time I need it — if I can remember the instructions ;-/

Those ARE very pretty rocks. I haven’t spent a lot of time in Washington, but I imagine there are some really gorgeous volcanics there.

There are Em, but not much nearby me. We do have some lava stone size rock around our patio — I will try for a photo when……. the snow melts! Snow overnight has our neighborhood in a white blanket. Does not normally last long but there are icy conditions in our low temps.
