A “REAL” RIDE WITH CINDY!!!!

My best riding buddy Cindy and I finally got an actual (as opposed to virtual) together ride, oh my! We have progressed from ‘virtual together ride & tea’ to ‘meet for tea in the middle of our solo ride’ to now ‘real together riding’!

We stopped at a garden at the beginning of our ride and explored this little area that I had never been to.

This is what Cindy is taking a closer photo of in this Pollinator Garden…

Birds, who help pollinate, need homes.

Lately I have been seeing many bunnies around. Many more than usual, and Cindy told me she has many come into her back yard. At our home we have so many cats that wander through our yard that the bunnies are less likely to feel safe there.

This stump is near my neighborhood and often has something there to indicate a holiday, a season or some other celebration. I passed by it when riding to Cindy’s to meet for our real ride together.

Hard to see but it says “Home Sweet Home”.

Cindy and I agree that we may have taken our riding together in the past for granted. Never again will either of us do that as we now know how precious these times are. If all continues to go well, and everything lines up in favor for us, we plan to ride together again next week.

Yay! So glad you can do real rides with Cindy again! I hope the virus lays low or just simmers where you are so those rides can continue!

That is definitely the hope Em. I am not yet ready to join a ride with more than Cindy as our numbers in the US have not yet stabilized. In fact, many areas are having a spike on increased cases. I am staying as safe as I know how. But it sure is nice to ride with my friend again. ;’-)

Wonderful news. You’re right about how much we’ve taken for granted all our lives. If we ever get out of this endless nightmare to a saner world again I hope we can keep this perspective and heightened sense of appreciation.

I so agree with you Scott. As I am distanced from many who I love, I will appreciate them so much more when I get to be with them again.

You discovered so many cool things to take pictures of. Even got a little bunny before he hopped away!
Wonderful that you can ride with Cindy again!

Could the bunnies be taking over the U.S.? Numerous times this spring I’ve mentioned to The Feeshko that there seems to be more bunnies around than usual. And like you, I prefer to call them “bunnies” instead of “rabbits.” I just hope we don’t get to the point where we have to build a rabbit-proof fence across the country like they did in Australia in the 1930s. A really good movie called “Rabbit Proof Fence” was made about that about 20 years ago, though it was more about attitudes toward Aboriginal orphans than it was about the fence itself.

You have an interesting point Greg. I have seen more bunnies than I ever have, and it is interesting that you have as well. Must be some kind of pandemic reaction. 🤔

It is interesting what you can find while riding around areas that you have not discovered and are right in your neighborhood.
It is a delight to be able to ride with Cindy again.
