A Trip to Town
Now that we live in a village to the south of Abingdon, anything we need that is not stocked in the local shop means we have to travel to either Abingdon or Didcot.
Today’s trip out was to Abingdon, as the weather dry though fresh I was able to a turn a six mile return journey into a nine round trip via some of the local lanes.

Wikipedia informed me that construction commence in 1414 and was completed in 1422.
From here it was a bit struggle back into a stiff headwind.

Great photo, and to think that bridge is nearly 600 years old!
They built things to last in those days
