Alfred Hitchcock Presents

Just for the heck of it, here’s a collection of photos of birds, and bikes and birds. Most were taken on bike rides, although many are outtakes that I’ve never posted. Others were taken on hikes, walks, or while hanging out in my backyard. Sorry, no photos of Tippi Hedren.

They call me Old Grumble-Face. I have no idea why they do that....

    Great photos!
I like Cardinals — not only the mascot of Illinois State University — they dont seem to poop much. 😉
(BTW there was no Reggie when I was there)

Nice pics, Bill. I really do not like seagulls. But at least most North American birds are not as loud and obnoxious as the Oz parrot family.

That’s a very nice collection. I love to shoot birds (with my Canon 50D only!), when I have the opportunity. Now that I know they like my neighborhood, my goal for summer 2019 is to get a few pictures of them. This past summer, I concentrated on a nest of cardinals in an orange tree that resides on one of our decks in the warm months.

What interesting and beautiful photos of birds Bill. I would say that not only do you have a good eye and composition skill, but must have a lot of patience as well. Nice collection you have there.

Some nice photos!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hawk on water….crows seem to seek you out!

Thanks for all the comments. When three times in less than a year a bird perches on my bike, I figure our feathered friends are trying to tell me something. (Maybe “I see bread crumbs from your sandwich.”)

Janet: The hawk was in very shallow water, bathing by splashing with its wings.

    Rich, this is for you:

      There is Reggie and RJ!!
ISU (ISNU back then) had the redbird when my father attended in the 1930’s
Reggie came along just after I graduated — Non Cum Laude 😉

      60’s Football Cheer:

      Kick that football
      Throw that pass
      C’mon Redbirds
      Kick em in the . . . . . .

Well, we were in the process of becoming refined and revered Educators, ya know! LOL
