An erratic but not glacial

I came across a number of sandstone erratics along River Road out of Deloraine.

They certainly don’t belong in the area but were not left by glacial action – rather, fell off the back of a truck.  I am not sure of their purpose.  Maybe once they formed the edge of the road or a barrier to keep vehicle out of a logging area but now they are just stuck in the countryside some distance from the road.

I have been looking for big, big boulders but may have to settle for rocks.  Haven’t found any of Rocco’s Australian cousins yet but will keep looking.
