An Interlude

I wanted to let you know that I have hit a mother lode of sorts for the old/new challenge. That is if two can constitute a mother lode. But I forgot to bring along my cable to transfer photos to my iPad so that post will need to wait until we get home from our camping outing in a couple of days.

The day before we left for camping (two days ago) I joined a club ride to and across Lake Washington on the new 520 bike trail along the bridge. I say new, but it is at least a year old now and this was my third time to ride on it.

Here I am — happy in the sun…

The trail takes students (and others) to UW without needing to drive. It dumps right onto campus and then to the Burke Gilman Trail to south or north, depending on your destination.

Off to the right is the (Huskies) football stadium.

I have not had a lot of oom pah pah for photo taking lately, so these were taken by a friend on the ride.

See you all later with a New/Old post that your are on the edge of your seats to see ;-0

This is so great to hear about! The last time we biked along the east side, about five years ago, we came across Mercer Island. I can’t wait for the chance to try this out.

It is at the north end of the lake going from Bellevue area to UW. It is fantastic!

That’s a great picture of you on your bike. Lucky you for having such an active group of friends to ride with.

Thanks Laura. I do feel fortunate to have a few options to ride with others, either a group or one or two others who stay active and love cycling.
