An Old Home and a New Home

Although I love everything about our new home, Victoria’s new residence doesn’t have the romantic ambience that the old one had. She is safe with her buddy at night and it’s clean and dry, and the Şkoda stays outdoors (until winter anyway), but as you can see in the pictures it is lacking in charm. Have to make some compromises somewhere I guess. On the other hand, our apartment is much more comfortable and it is pretty, too.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

Can’t beat the charm of your old dwelling. But your new digs will suit you well. Comfortable and pretty says a lot ;’-)

Based on the photoI have to disagree with your assessment about ambience for Victoria’s new digs. It has its own charm I think. I’m glad you’re happy with your new apartment and I look forward to exploring with you.

I agree with both Nancy and Kathleen — the old place certainly is a charmer — but the new place will develop its own ambience over time.
I like the Skoda! Looking at various models over the years, they are a pretty cool looking suite of automobiles. Virtually unknown here.

I’ve got to agree with Kathleen. Victoria’s home looks sort of like a cave in a magical forest.
