Annadel trails, rocks, and mud

Not much to say. Beautiful weather. Free time. Pedaled over to Annadale and into the park to try some rough singletrack with the Ogre. It’s not really a mountain bike, and (except on foot) I haven’t been on some of those steep, rocky trails in more than twenty years, but it was a good experiment as I get closer—I hope—to some bikepacking expeditions. The singletrack required a lot of dabbing, and I worried about toppling over on my bum arm, but I avoided disaster. Well, I did manage to splatter self and Ogre with mud.

They call me Old Grumble-Face. I have no idea why they do that....

Well, David Letterman, you are doing some amazing one-armed riding! Good on you for continuing to get out there and push forward even with a bum arm. Looks like you had some really great weather for that ride, too. Some northern CA landscapes remind me a lot of Oz – just different trees – though you do have a lot of eucalpyt foreigners over there, too. Will you end up getting a frame bag or other bikepacking style bags for those rides in the future? Great to see you out pedalling! Em
