Another brick in the wall

After my brief interlude in Minnesota — it seemed like a fevered dream, almost a fantasy — I returned to Santa Rosa where I discovered the temperature was not expected to rise above 55 degrees Fahrenheit today. In bone-chilling, life-threatening conditions such as that, my Gopher State host, Greg, never rides his bike. He just dozes by his fireplace and guzzles mug after mug of pumpkin spice lattes delivered by Uber. Hence, I was tempted to emulate him and stay indoors during our cold snap. Instead, Old Grumble-Face hopped on two wheels and braved the brutal California elements in order to demonstrate how cold weather can be tamed.

They call me Old Grumble-Face. I have no idea why they do that....

Fifty-five degrees? I have to build a bonfire in the fireplace and crank the furnace to full blast just to warm my house UP to that temperature. And I need to guzzle those hot pumpkin spice lattes to keep my saliva from freezing.

Nevertheless, I congratulate you for going out into that cold weather and riding your bike. It’s good to see that you’ve had some rain and the streams are filling back up. Nice wall photos too.

You have some very interesting walls in your area. Good for you to brave the weather and get out there to show us some of them ;’-)
