At last – a monthly challenge entry!

I’ve been off the bike the past couple of weeks.  Although we had our flu shots earlier this winter, apparently there was a late mutation of one stream of the virus and, well, I assume that’s what we got.  Didn’t do my COPD much good.

A bit improved today, I pulled out the camera and the bike, cycled all of 20 metres along the driveway and took a mono image c/w bike.  Then I turned around and headed back home as the rain began again.

This weekend is scheduled to enjoy 90-100kph winds and plenty of rain, so a longer ride won’t be happening until next week.

I have enjoyed reading everyone else’s entries and ride stories while being sidelined.  In the words of Old Mr Grace from Are You Being Served – “You’ve all done very well”.  Exit stage left, waving my walking stick!!

One thing I tell myself often is it’s not about speed or distance. If you enjoyed the 20 metres, then it was a great ride! It’s a lovely wall to be parked in front of.

    🙁 on getting the flu.

Great photo — looks like examples of 2 stretchers — the bricks, and the laid back tadpole!
So the Roaring Forties are doing their thing this weekend — another 🙁
    Hope you feel better soon.

Nice that you have finally felt well enough for any distance Tony. It is all good as Laura points out, any distance is a good distance on a bike. Nice photo too ;’-)

Hope you are feeling better now! Yes, Influenza A tore through our area, too. At least 4 people were away from work at any one time. Looks like some wild and woolly weather down your way over the past few days and coming up – stay warm and rugged up!

Hope you are recovered completely now and when the weather permits, you will be out riding again. Yay for the challenge picture!
