Very much enjoy all the entries you all have provided -- great to see the everyday cycling venues. Being in eastern Illinois, scenery certainly isn't our forte, but oh well, the roads are normally quiet. Look forward to more and more entries from all of you, I do have a few over on BL -- in Bill's Day Rides, and one journal.

Rich, you must have moved to a new state, because I see little or no corn in those photos. 😉

August Challenge 10!! You’ve been busy! That’s a great collection of trees. The evergreen looks more like pine than fir to me, but Scott and Nancy come from the land of evergreens so they should know better. I remember learning to ID the various trees at various altitudes in CO and was taught the saying, “firs are friendly, spruces are spikey”. You could tell the spruces from the firs by feel – though the pines are a whole other story!

No eucalyptus yet. Maybe snow gums might work in Illinios.
