August Challenge — Liquid #3

I have been bikeless out of Seattle these past two weeks. Finally got to borrow bikes to take a little spin on the Mississippi Riverfront Trail in St. Louis, MO.

This was my first view of the Mississippi. And then some views of the Gateway Arch. It was a short ride but had a lot of interesting things and I WAS ON A BIKE!!! Will be going home in just a couple of days and back in the saddle then.

Yes, even if it was not as long as I had wanted, it was a devine ride with lots of interesting things.

Always good to get a ride in! — looking forward to reading/seeing more rides when you get home.

Appreciate the photos of the river and arch!

Travel can be stressful – so a bike ride sometimes is just what you need to relax a little. That is one BIG river – it has always left me amazed at its width and volume when I’ve ridden over it. Glad you had a chance to pedal!

Oh yes, and this trip is rife with stress — saying goodbye to some family who are moving away, and having sad time with a dearly loved one who is battling with early onset Alzheimer’s leaves me very heavy hearted. A bike ride is always a good retreat at times like this, and gives me strength to follow through. I was thankful for the pedal time, and being around water is always a bit soothing for me.
      Thanks for your note.
