Autumn Lake

After our rainy season officially began a few weeks ago, we had no rain, only fire. By Thanksgiving we remained barely above zero percent of average accumulated rainfall through that date.

Then the rain arrived with a vengeance. After about a week of non-stop downpour, we hit one hundred percent of average rainfall for the season to date. Whew! That meant spending way too much time on the indoor trainer.

The forecast for today looked much better. We ended up with far more fog than forecast, but I didn’t let that prevent me from climbing aboard the Ogre and getting out and about for a short ride to see what the rain had wrought. It wrought autumn, judging from the look of things, which kind of makes sense, I suppose, because we’re only a couple of weeks from winter.

The beautiful pictures from your ride look like they could have been taken in Minnesota . . . THREE MONTHS AGO!

You get way more fall color up there than we do down here!! Beautiful…..and just a little jealous.

Beautiful photos for sure! That is Spring Lake?
Good you could get some pedaling in if even on a trainer while the rain came down and down and down.
As to the weather, one extreme to the other here too — 6F wind chill here this morning, it was 50 two days ago.
All the leaves here are long gone, but the clean up continues . . . . in December!
