I’m driving solo across the continent, with the Ogre in the back of the Forester. Some days I hop on the Ogre to ride a few miles out-and-back or in a loop. That slows my forward progress, but enables me to explore some interesting places along the way.

Fourth stop, Badlands National Park, South Dakota.

They call me Old Grumble-Face. I have no idea why they do that....

You are moving right along!! The more I see photos of the Badlands the more I’d like to see them.

    Spectacular Photos!
There is free ice water at Wall Drug — you must have seen a zillion signs for it! 🙂

    Hi Bill,

I’m back in Seattle right now and I’m just catching up on your road trip. The Badlands were a great choice for one of your bike rides. I got to do some riding there almost exactly one year ago. Love that scenery.

I suppose you’ve already driven through Minnesota by now. If I was at home, I would have been regularly checking in on Cycle365 and I’d have contacted you to meet up. I’d have driven down somewhere along I-90–like maybe Rochester. Darn, another missed opportunity.

      Hi Greg,

I was planning to contact you if it looked like the timing might be right, but I was zooming along and it turns out you weren’t even in the Gopher State while I was passing through. One of these days we’ll connect!
