BEFORE AND AFTER: June 9

This daily project is getting to be a little more difficult than I thought it would be. I’m having trouble finding suitable “before” pictures. Nevertheless, I refuse to quit after only three or four days. That would be pathetic. I will persevere, but I just want to prepare you for how this will inevitably end: either the pictures will get more and more half-assed, or I will descend into the flaming pit of failure before the end of the month.

Today, I came up with a bird theme:

June 23, 2016: I was riding back from Winnipeg along northern Minnesota’s Paul Bunyan Trail when I spotted this wooden duck sculpture. Obviously I had to get it into a selfie with me.

June 9, 2020: I was riding along MY Town’s Forest Street with the intention of stopping at this wooden eagle sculpture. Obviously I had to get it into a selfie with me.

Hi. My name is Greg and I ride my bike a lot. That is to say, I ride my bike almost every day. I go on long rides and short rides. Sunny rides, cloudy rides, and rainy rides. I like commuting, errand-running, day-tripping, overnighting, and touring on my bike. I ride on city streets, highways, gravel, single track, and snow with equal enthusiasm. Sometimes I ride fast and sometimes I ride slow. I try to keep my feet on the pedals at stop lights and I do not dismount when I hop up on a curb. I have a roadie bike, a mountain bike and a touring bike. I try to accept any challenge a bike ride can throw at me without complaint. But I don't like bugs.
