Black Ogre outside on a dark night, with flash

I was not expecting the tires to reflect and scatter the camera flash like that. Monochrome? Black and white? Just plain weird? I leave it to the jury, but I can say I would probably do more night riding if I could be assured the Ogre would always light up like this.

They call me Old Grumble-Face. I have no idea why they do that....

Quite artistic looking. Seems it was more than you expected. I like it too.

Hmmmm Something to consider for Halloween — spooky!

Interesting how the reflected light from the tyres flares. I assume the bike was not moving. Was it misty? I have had shots weirdly affected by reflected flash in mist.

I was trying to get black bike at night with minimal lighting (two nearby solar powered yard lights) but that didn’t work, so I tried the flash. No mirrors. No fog. No dampness. Just plain old black tires throwing unexpected dazzle. Tried to clean it up a little and it turned more speckled. Kind of interesting.
