Brick Challenge for May and Road Trip.

Click here for details Here’s my submission for the May monthly challenge and I’ve even done an odious ode.

I live in the hills just east of the city of Perth, Western Australia and I've loved cycling all my life, From riding to primary school when I was 8 years old to cycle touring as a grumpy old man. Cycling is freedom on two wheels and I love getting on my bike at any opportunity.

Nice day and ride — I saw the butcherbird “sally-pounces” its prey, never heard that term before.
Dog Rock really does look like a dog — and the Numbat is interesting — that’s a lot of termites it consumes.
Great photos, the favorite being the brick works and stack.
You, too, live in a beautiful area.

Thanks Rich, glad to live where I do, but it’s a long way from anywhere, which isn’t so bad if you don’t like crowds and we do have some unusual animals. Not that I had any say in where I live as it was my grandparents decision to move here from eastern Australia and UK many years ago, The US and Australia aren’t so different, migrant countries.

Yes Emily. Albany was a bit cloudy but still nice, I could happily live on the south coast of WA. It has a nice environment, beaches, forests etc, but no jobs for me so I’ll stay in the city.

I really enjoyed the Shakespearian twist you brought to the challenge!
