Challenge of the month, 01/21: Polygons

This month’s challenge comes to us thanks to Nancy (and Rocky extends a special note of thanks, because she’s tired of my lame ideas): Polygons. For those who have forgotten everything they learned in HS Geometry, a polygon is a plane figure with at least three straight sides and angles, and typically five or more. Also, note that plane in this context means 2-D, not a flying machine.
This sounds like it should be easy, but I wonder. I’ve got about 1,500 photos on my iPad right now, and none of them were suitable as an example. I’m going to have to change what I’m looking for.

I have a few things in mind, but don’t be too disappointed if I have to fall back to a picture of a “Give Way” sign. (It is actually really hard to find STOP signs in Oz – it’s either a Give Way, a roundabout or a traffic light. Can’t recall the last time I saw a stop sign here).
Sounds challenging… Nancy has raised the bar. It won’t be too difficult for her, though!
I cannot take ALL the credit ;’-). My suggestion was ‘geometric shapes’ — any shape. Scott made it more of a challenge by narrowing it to ‘polygons’.
Thanks for your confidence in me Suzanne, but I am not really too sure about this one. I will ponder and ponder upon it.
Right. Make me out as the mean drill sergeant. I thought I was making it easier actually, by opening it up to irregular shapes.
😏😏 hmm mmm….
I will definitely be on the lookout. I look forward to what other people come up with.
