Challenge of the month – July – Two Old Men

Date:   2018/07/01 (Sun)

Place:  Brompton Station, Ngau Tam Mei, San Tin, Hong Kong

My team-mate and I were having short rest at my old friend’s bike shop selling lovely Brompton folding bikes.

Obviously, standing at the fore-front of the photo are two OLD men and I believe this should meet the criteria of the July challenge. 😎😎

A Colnago vintage steel road bike is at the background.

Live in London who love to ride.

Hi Gary! If I were there, we could have 3 old men in the photo. 🙂
Certainly appreciate your posts from Hong Kong, interesting and beautiful views of your part of the world.
Bromptons ARE super cool, would love to have one — N+1 rule may apply — number of bicycle you have plus one more. 😉

Yes Bromptons are wonderful and I really love to have one more if approval is granted 😱

Come on, you’re not old, rusted, abandoned, collapsing, etc. I KNOW you can do better.

Oh, the judges of the Challenge are very grumbly today! Even if you guys qualify as old, rusted, etc — we are not so sure about that — the rules require you to include YOUR bike in the photo, not A bike. Please consider yourself yellow-carded, sir, unless you care to claim ownership of the Colnago. Now the judges must move along and issue a yellow card to Rich.

Bill, I must admit that the Colnago is not mine. That one belong to the Brompton shop owner who is also one of my friends. 😂 I will try my very best in future attempts.

Frankly speaking, it is quite difficult to find something that is old, abandoned etc, in a highly modernised and small city like Hong Kong. Anything that is old and to be abandoned will get demolish very soon for the sake of redevelopment.

    Hi Gary,

You’re right, and I reckon “old” is a relative term. If Keith shows us something built in Gaul by the Romans, those of us in North America won’t have much of an answer. The judges will be fully satisfied with anything you deem old by the standards of HK. But we shall remain stern if your bike is omitted from the photograph! 😉
