CHRISTMAS MORNING SPIN

Sadly the weather did not permit a Solstice trip this morning, so the following are e few grey day shots of a very quiet Abingdon. A few dog walkers, a couple out rowing and a paddle boarder, and very few vehicles.

Seasons wishes to all.

Distance – 6 miles.

Journey – Solo.

Bike – Dawes Galaxy.

I may have been a grey day, but your photos bring serenity and peace to my eyes. Nicely done.

    Happy Holidays!
It does look a bit grey in your part of the world. But that kind of day can also be soothing. It also makes me think how nice it is to return from a ride to a cozy home.

Suzanne, yes it was nice to get home, I forgot to state that it only just above freezing.

We have had our cloud issues here with the solstice — but any day of cycling is a good day.
Very impressive building in the last photo.
    Happy Holidays!

The building is Abingdon School, a private school for Day Boys and Boarders alike, very select, very expensive.

Your photos are very atmospheric and beautiful. The sky was like that from Nov-March where I grew up, but the area was not nearly so photogenic. It’s always nice to have a ride with so few people about, even if the weather is not ideal. Happy holidays to you!

Certainly looks wintery and I can imagine the cold hands from cycling. Mine always got cold.

I thought there was one of those drones from Gatwick in the first picture but then settled down as it is obviously a bird.
