CLC #2

This challenge helps get me on my bike when I just don’t have the oom-pah-pah to take myself for a ride. I felt that way this midday but the challenge called and I answered. However, I wasn’t at all sure that I would be successful at a potential plan for a purchase today. And I was right — but something else came up in the nick of time.

The Estate Sale sign caught me only slightly before I was about to turn around and head back home. I walked through the house and grounds and found my CLC purchase.

We had had one of these retractable hoses but it got damaged by someone who was too agressive when tending to our lawn. Not only was it at at good price at $10, but now it was half price for everything. Score!

Now more motivated to ride, I meandered a bit further around my neighborhood. Couldn’t pass up these white trees.

Thank you Kathleen for carrying this challenge forward. It is a great way for me to ride when no other rides are around to join. And — right from my home!

Good ride and a nice find at the Estate Sale.
Had you been in a car, would you still have stopped to look?
Pretty easy to pull over and park a bicycle.

I would consider the CLC, but Im afraid it would most likely amount to 7 trips to the Caseys General Store.

Thanks Rich. Well, I don’t stop at many, if any, sales like this as I should have my own sale!!! If it was not for the challenge I would not have stopped at this one either. I thought maybe I could at least find a book as a purchase for the challenge. No books here but I agree that I did find a good thing to buy ;’-)

I say go ahead and take the 7 trips to Casey’s for a purchase each time. Just take a slightly different route each time. No rules against any of that as far as I can tell.

What a nice find! I laugh when I think of what my estate sale would look like – really, two trips to Goodwill would be the best option and would take care of the whole lot!

I on the other hand feel that our house is LOADED down with STUFF that we do NOT need, use or want!! I need to do a purging session. A few actually!

I loved finding something useful though, and especially for the CLC ‘;’-)

    “Oom-Pah-Pah.” I love it.

I generally don’t have a motivation problem in getting out for a ride, but these challenges definitely give me the oom-pah-pah to write about it.

      ;’-) ;’-) ;’-)

Got that saying from an old German Chef years ago. And I now use it a lot as it fits so well in so many circumstances. Now it is yours too. ;’-)

White trees and a retractable hose – great finds on your ride!
I think I’ll make the oom-pah-pah my saying too. Thanks for introducing it.

Yes, oom-pah-pah fits many times! Glad you all like it and want to use it. I stole it, no reason you can’t ;’-)

You’re quite welcome, Nancy. Well done with the purchase. Don’t recall anyone picking up something at an estate sale before.
