CLC 2018 #4: Happy Consumer Ride

I didn’t intend to do two rides in one day.  So what happened?

Occasionally I run errands on my bike.  Things like riding the few kilometres to the local bike shop to buy some inner tubes.  I don’t own a commuter bike, so I do these trips on my road bike.  Because I am bent over rather than upright, my mobile phone and wallet don’t fit comfortably in the pockets of my non-lycra shorts.  So I have to wear a cycling jersey in order to have usable pockets.  I would prefer to wear a t-shirt.

Two days ago I read about some bib shorts with a pocket on each leg, and two pockets high on the back panel.

They looked like just the ticket.  Out came my credit card.

The cargo bib shorts arrived this afternoon.  Well, of course I had to try them out.

I covered a lot of the same ground as I did on yesterday evening’s ride.  Rather than bore you with the details, I thought I would populate my map with the flags of all the countries which have embassies, official ambassadorial residences, or both, along the route I rode this evening.

How many flags do you recognize?

By the way, the cargo bib shorts are a winner.
