Hi Tony – The weather sorta reflected the cycling week, I guess. It is easy to have an off-week. It’s the average over time that matters 🙂 I figure as long as the trend is up, you can have some noise in the data! You will be happy to know I had a rather crummy, very low km week as well. I’ve been totally knackered since the day surgery procedures. I hope I can get back to consistent, short daily rides this coming week. Hope Oscar is fully recovered now! All the best. Em

And now we have storms predicted for Sunday and Monday – even a touch of snow on the high peaks. Ken from Deloraine and I are forming a breakaway Vivente group of 2 and have our first ride scheduled for Tuesday – providing the winds die down a bit. You are right about the average being the thing. Else it all gets too much of an obsession (so people are telling me). Short day rides sound like a good goal for next week as you get your mojo back after the body invaders did their job.

Oscar is pretty much back to “normal” for him. Sadly he still barks at anything that moves outside. The local kids enjoy stirring him up as they walk past. Little buggers.

I hope next week brings good news to you from the Quacks.

      Tony

    Hi Tony,
Sounds like a really nice ride – especially your taking it all at your own speed and happy with that. We’re also up for some colder weather this weekend – below zero again! I’ve had enough of that. I want to get out and prove my mettle! Suzanne
