CLC 2020 #4

I did not anticipate that I would get a CLC in today. And I know I am getting them in rather close together and not spacing them, but I have to do them when the occasion presents itself and when weather allows.

Susan and I had taken a nice bike ride and enjoyed yet another picnic at a nearby park.

On the route home we stopped at a roadside produce stand and picked up a couple of items. We were the only people there, and the vendor honored our request to keep a distance and stood way outside while we perused his stand. And Susan wrapped a plastic bag over her hand to touch anything, paid cash and had him drop her change into another plastic bag. Are we being cautious yet?

As of today all Washington State campgrounds are closed. Someone at a rather nearby campground presented with COVID-19 so all have now closed until at least April 30th. We both knew this was coming so no surprise. And we feel fortunate that we were able to take advantage of camping up til now, and have remained healthy (as far as we know).

Great to get in another ride. Yep, I am pretty paranoid, too, so all those money exchange precautions don’t seem too much. (I am not doing cash transactions now). I had to go to the store today, and everything I picked up I thought, “What if somebody sneezed on this? How many people have touched this product before me?” How long should I not touch that after I get it home and I’ve washed my hands? So, no, it’s not just you… it’s those of us with fried immune systems, too!

I think about you Em, and a couple of my other friends who have compromised health, and keep you in my very most positive thoughts during this (and every other) time. Stay positive and stay well.

Nowhere in the rules does it say you have to space your CLC rides out. Do them whenever you want and whenever your oom-pah-pah levels compel you. All I ask is that you slow down just enough so I can be the first to achieve eternal glory this year.

Oh no!! Now I am in a race ;’-/. Or maybe not ;’-). Now for the oom-pah-pah.
Waiting for a sucker hole today ;’-0.

Apparently tests have indicated that the virus remains active for 72 hours when having an out-of-body experience on plastic surfaces. Shorter times on other materials but Pin keys are plastic – I suppose I will have to start waving the card. Didn’t want to do that – it is treated as a credit card txn and extra charges can be raised. Makes you wonder why bank shares are going down!

Thank you Suzanne, I hope you and Janos are doing the same.
