CLC 2020. Ride #1. Launceston
For my CLC Ride #1 I decided to take a trip to Launceston and buy a Trangia Triangle. What is it? A mini support and windshield for a Trangia stove burner. They do exist and here is a picture of one from the Interweb.

I tried to find one and failed, so I bought something else.
Purchase evidence – as you watch the video linked to below, look out for my purchase. It was a dehydrated Beef and Veggie meal for consumption during our upcoming 4 day tour to Mole Creek.

Love this Tony. Sorry you could not find that triangle stove support. but good purchase for CLC nonetheless. ;’-)
Nice video, Tony. Sorry you couldn’t find the Triangle. But one question. Don’t those camping stores have telephones? 😉
I was very impressed with the video, and your voice sounds so distinguished and knowledgeable. If you were running for Prime Minister or any other office, I’d vote for you based on the quality of your voice alone.
In reference to Old Grumbleface’s question, I think I’m like you. I don’t call ahead to the camping stores. I just ride there and shop around.

I confess that I always do the same. But my ace support crew always rolls her eyes and wonders why I don’t simply make inquiries by phone. Of course, she enjoys talking on the phone.
Hopkins and I enjoyed the tour around your town by way of the video. Loved the music belting from the cafe along the way, and the travel van converted to serve coffee is clever. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Nice video, Tony! Thanks for taking us along shopping!
Thanks for all your comments. Phone ahead? What an odd idea. If I did that I would never ride to the shops and would spend more time indoors buying things on the ‘net!
Our mini Tasmania tour begins today. The weather looks good so far. It is supposed to rain later but maybe by then the tents will be up. We shall see.
Completely enjoyed the tour of Launceston — the bicycle in daily life.
I really. really like your Brompton!
Have a great time on your mini tour!!
Glad you could take the Brompton for a spin. What a gorgeous day in Launceston. It certainly did not look like that when I was down there for work for a few days in 2012! I also like the sound of the church bells just as you were rolling up to the coffee van.
Dearest,
That was the quickest cup of coffee ever consumed. Well done. And yes I’d vote for you too.
