CLC Ride 7 – Misty Sprinkles

It’s a slow and gentle ride through the forest alone. Verne is off indulging in beer and chips and crumbed lamb cutlets for the week. And Kermit decided he didn’t want to ride in the gloomy mist. But it rounds out our CLC rides – next week we’ll be on tour. Check it out at the link:

Nice slow ride Navigator, just what the Doc ordered. 2 hours to travel 27ks – that’s about my speed (!). As a silver lining it gives you time to see the pictures and take good images. The tracks in your neck of the woods are very interesting and so many of them.
About time you had your full diagnosis now let’s hope it is not as bad as you think. TC
Thanks, Tony. I got the all clear from the gastroenterologist a couple weeks ago – no celiac disease, bacterial infection, no ulcers, colitis, polyps, etc. Blood loss appears to be coming from uterine fibroids pressing against my intestines – but nothing to really worry about for the moment. So it’s back to my GP to sort out the final bits that don’t fit with Ross River. I know what’s coming and it’s not good. I’ll keep riding regardless, though. Next week is the Strathbogies – I enjoyed an overnight ride there over Anzac Day in 2016, so we’re going back for Anzac Day again this year!
Hi Em,
1) Wow, those look like great roads for the Ogre! I’m envious.
2) You already know this, but in season of high fire danger, keep a “go bag” at the ready. That was really driven home around here in October.
3) I hope medical issues not as dire as you think.
4) Better “Misty” than “Stormy”???
Hi Bill,
1) Yes, the Ogre would love those roads, as well as some of the more difficult terrain in other parts of the park.
2) They had a big fire in Sydney over the weekend – but they have already sent all the helicopters and planes they lease from the US back ‘home’ after our normal fire season. They are talking about how fire seasons in both countries are starting earlier and lasting longer… so that will cause overlap in the equipment that Oz leases in the US off-season.
3)I hope so, too, but it’s not looking good.
4) Definitely… though I like that the famous “Stormy” is living up to her name and causing a stir, at least.
