Janos planned a nice loop so, although it was windy, we thought let’s go anyway. We have e-bikes, don’t we? By the time we got to Unterbrunn, about 6 km, we decided it best to turn back and not cycle through the woods ahead. We didn’t fancy an encounter with a falling branch or tree.
From home we set off in the other direction on open roads and paths over the fields and no danger of a tree trunk crashing down. By the time we got to Buchendorf, another 3 km, the wind had picked up. Just a few photos before we go, we said.
When the wind threw my bike into the ditch – oh no, my new bike – I knew it was time to get back, but fast. There was a steady strong wind which we could handle, but the gusts were something else.
Originally I hadn’t planned to make this little outing a challenge entry. I had a theme in mind for the seven rides, but somehow I have lost my enthusiasm for the project, at least for the time being, which would involve riding into Munich a couple of times. Maybe in the fall.
And what was the purchase that I brought along on my first CLC ride? My new bicycle of course!
