CLC18 Ride 3: Ho Hi, Ho Hi

Ho Hi, Ho Hi, It’s Off From Work Am I

Back on my first CLC18 ride I showed you what my ride to work looks like, which is usually near dawn this time of year. This time I thought I’d show you what it looks like on the way home, when there’s more light.

So we start from the marshes, make a stop at a coffee shop with a guest appearance by the wife, then we continue on home.

a saltwater marsh that shows pickleweed and some open water
A marsh in broad daylight
a recumbent bicycle in front of a business sign that says Jones Day
Every day is a Jones day if you know the right people.
a freeway with rush hour traffic
Wild and scenic river of motor vehicles
a channelized creek that has concrete walls and bed, with some vegetation growing in it. There is also some water flowing in it.
A wild and scenic creek
a large blue frog sculpture, about 4 feet high, is situated in front of a residence
This frog was in Ride 1 in the dawn’s early light. Showing it in dappled shade doesn’t help my cause here much.
cars turning through an intersection from the perspective of a bicycle rider
About to turn into a shopping center for an after-work restorative
a woman with purple hair who is raising a cup of iced tea in a toast
My beloved met me for that after-work restorative. There’s something different about her … a different haircut maybe? No … something else … can’t put my finger on it …
a aerial map showing a bike commuter's route home from a workplace near San Francisco Bay
The arduous trek home from work

I’m guessing purple hair or is it the drink?

    Hi Kathleen,

Nice bike ride and pictures as always. No matter where you’re writing, you are still the one and only Goddess.

    Happy Jones Day!
