Today’s support of the local economy was a visit to my chiropractor, whose office is in a business district of Palo Alto called California Avenue, or, Cal Ave. It’s a pretty easy, flat ride, and there’s lots of bike parking on the avenue. This chiropractor is new to me, and I needed a lot of work. When we were done I felt about two inches taller and a lot less twisted. To maintain the good feeling for as long as possible I walked up and down Cal Ave, stopping in a store and then a cafe. I then rode a different way back in order to make a loop. More secret passages, and special appearance by the Bol Park donkeys.
First secret passage (well, shortcut) of the day: some construction going onNext secret passage: between two neighborhoods over a creek. All clear.A bit o’ purple for the day, with lovely wisteria and some other purple flowersRuh-roh. My bad. But I want to go over there…..Parking Pokey. The chiropractor’s office is across the street. She’ll have a lot more company by the time I return.Friendly and capable Dr. Eric.Another secret passage, but not bike-ableBackyard Brew is kinda quirky. You can write all over the tables, play a little chess. This is a dog-friendly space. None present at the moment. The donkeys are all right in their paddock in Bol Park, which the bike path goes right by.Finding our way home via other secret passages, this one between Hewlett Packard and some other Silicon Valley powerhouse whose name I can’t remember at the moment.CLC18 Ride 5: Getting Adjusted

Maybe the “Do Not Enter” sign referred to climbing the ladder behind it?
Tony,
I’m sure you’re right.
