Cloud? What’s that?

We are still on the Atlantic coast in Andalusia, Spain. It might possibly be the sunniest place in Europe. This stretch of the coast is called Costa de la Luz, Coast of Light, for good reason. I guess I shouldn’t rub it in, but I had a hard time finding a cloud today.

What deprivation, no clouds, no bicycles. So I just sat staring at the sea and enjoyed my green olives and a little glass of sherry. By the way, sherry is originally from Jerez, just some kilometers down the coast.

Then lo and behold – a cyclist, no a cycling family came in sight. But no clouds!

I was in luck. As they continued along the beach, they lined up with a few fluffy little clouds. I grabbed my camera, zoomed in and managed to capture cyclists and clouds! Made my day!

We return to Munich next week. And if it’s not too darn cold, I might be able to get a shot of my bike and clouds for the challenge.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. I have three kids and eight grandchildren - so I'm pretty old. Cycling, photography and walking are my favorite things.

Clouds in Paradise! So fortunate to find a cloud or two to add to the challenge ;’-).
Love the idea of the olives and sherry while staring out at the sea!!

Yes, olives and sherry while staring out at the sea is almost perfect. But home is home and I am looking forward to getting back to my grey Munich. Enough paradise for the time being.

Happy New Year to you too, Janet!
Yes, this is a beautiful beach and wonderfully empty. Not in the summer, though!

Unbelievably, I couldnt do a cloud shot today had I wanted to — sunshine and reasonably warm.
Beautiful place, and that last shot couldnt have been better had you staged it.
Sherry and olives on a Pepsi table — and Coke thought they owned the world. 😉

I thought the table was an interesting touch, too. But it was olives and sherry that hit the spot.

It was lovely – but really, good weather and no cycling just isn’t right.
We are home now and we have had lots of snow. I’m hoping it will thaw soon. I’m ready to ride my bicycle in the cold, just not on snow and slush and ice. 🙂
