Community Bikes

After being out of town sans bicycle for a few days, I figured the Ogre would want to get out and bid farewell to 2018.

Despite the moderate temperature, a cold wind howled and gusted out of the north. I think it blasted straight down from Hastings, Minnesota. It blew me all over the roads and trails and left me feeling a bit chilled by the time I reached home. Fortunately, a big mug of hot tea warmed me up in time to get ready for a wild and crazy New Year’s Eve.

They call me Old Grumble-Face. I have no idea why they do that....

Could you please send that cold wind down here? Thanks!

Great to see the community bike shop – it seems more and more of these pop up as time goes by. I met a semi-homeless guy on a recumbent in Nebraska on one of my tours that had put the recumbent together with the help of some guys at a community bike shop in Colorado. He’d been touring/living rough for quite a few years with various bikes.

We have a similar community bike shop that is called “Sharing Wheels”. But there are not good walls to enjoy around it! Nice photos you have shared Bill.

Community Bikes is a great thing to do.
Trying to figure out the brightness and clarity of the photos, especially the last one with all that blue.
