Cycle Day #7 of 75 – Plus a few Signs

Lovely warm sunny day with light winds.

This bronze of a race horse in West Lockginge is very impressive.

As are the former tied cottages of the Estate workers.

Proof that we do have round bales, this on the outskirts of Letcombe Bassett.

Looking out over the Oxfordshire countryside from the top of the 10% climb of Hackpen Hill, we stopped here for refreshments.

The ancient Ridgeway, above Ashbury.

White Horse Hill taken from the Woolstone turning.

Great day out, spoilt a little when the Puncture Fairy attacked me a handful of miles from home.

Distance – 51 miles

Journey – myself and youngest son, Neale.

Bike – Spa Audax

It’s great being in this group and sometimes there are unexpected benefits. I play a 9 letter word game online and today was one of 18 out of 300+ who picked the word “gilet”. Apparently it is not a common word (according to the rules of the game) and those numbers would indicate that it true.

I didn’t know the word until reading your posts, DJG, so thank you.
