Cycle Days with Victoria – I Love Bavaria

I’ve added a couple new pictures since I last posted here for my 100 Cycle Days Challenge. Some you might have seen before, but you can scroll down for the newer ones.

What a day to be out on our bicycles! We had a date out in the country with a group of friends from the Flickr photo website. With all our experience taking our bikes on city trains, we opted for a train ride from Munich to Aying and a scenic ride to the beer garden in Taglaching. The bicycle ride was lovely, the train ride not so much. Saturday noon and the train station was jam packed. Broken elevators didn’t help. Although it is not allowed to take your bike on an escalator, it was our only choice. We weren’t going to carry our heavy bicycles down two levels.
Rode 28 km.

Next week we will be cycling more of the Romantic Road. (We did the southern section at the end of May, journal here.) That means little participation here, but more photos and a new journal when we return.

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

Beautiful photos and great ride, the biergarten sounds good too, although a German beer would probably knock me on my keister!

Fortunately, beer gardens offer other things to drink. We don’t have beer at lunch, either. Only when the day is done.

Gorgeous day for a ride! I will look forward to the second half of the Romantic Road over on cycleblaze. Have a great and safe tour!
