DECEMBER CHALLENGE: A LOW WALL WITH MOSS

I DO live in the Pacific NorthWET, so there is no surprise that we have moss all around ;’-). Not long ago — well maybe a year and a half or so, but that doesn’t seem so long ago — city maintenance cleared off the moss from the wall and walkways here.

Helps to keep the workers employed I guess, but there is no ending the moss growth. Adds some dimension to the wall and surroundings, and I have come to rather enjoy the moss as long as it is not where it impedes my travel by bike or foot.

Reminds me of a stretch of the PCH ride on old 101 Hwy in Oregon we did. I thought it was one of my favorite spots of the whole ride!

I like that wall. Moss is a nice looking plant.

With our hot and dry summers where I live is more of a lichen place than moss

Janet, I too have ridden by many beautiful mossy walls and have appreciated and enjoyed them so much.
Rich — as said above — I like that wall too ;’-)
Lednar — every area has its unique environment. When in California in October, I found it so very dry and desert-like, I was missing our rain that we get here!!! Guess I have developed those webbed feet that form from living here this long ;’-)
