December Challenge Finale

58F!  Let’s go!

Someone spilled the beans — including some red kidney beans

Those are rejects from Teasdale Foods which are taken by tractor and wagon to the landfill periodically

Teasdale specializes in Mexican lentil products although these aren’t jumping beans  😉

Another view through the chain stays

Tagging along behind the tractor and wagon on a hot summer day isn’t something you want to do

Judging by the amount of spillage they make every load count with the wagon piled high

Red reflective tape on the guard rail at Party Bridge

Not entirely sure how to interpret that!

I had to look up the word in blue — might be Chilean slang???

Chilean — here???

Rolling north something jumped into view

There is just no way anyone could leave Kermit’s 4th cousin, twice removed alongside the road

Froggie rescued and got a nice ride to his new home  🙂

Very much enjoy all the entries you all have provided -- great to see the everyday cycling venues. Being in eastern Illinois, scenery certainly isn't our forte, but oh well, the roads are normally quiet. Look forward to more and more entries from all of you, I do have a few over on BL -- in Bill's Day Rides, and one journal.

Good wrap up Rich. Those roadside beans remind me of the plum tomatoes I biked over on a couple of rides near Sacramento. The trucks seem to over fill and then the road gets them. Then what is the point of overfilling? I guess the bean trucks don’t care where they are being discarded since that is the intent.

Anyway, thanks for your challenge finale for this month. I am (im)patiently waiting for the new challenge for January ;’-/

Thanks, — at one point the side of the road was literally paved with a swath of beans — for miles — not sure if that was intentional or not, but they couldnt have had many left when they got to the landfill.

Im seeing absolutely ZERO stuff for New Years here. 🙁

    Yay for the warm weather!

And Kermit is VERY happy you rescued Froggie. Kermit was impressed you knew their exact familial relationship. Maybe Froggie can hang out with Sock Monkey.

It’s a shame they landfill those beans instead of grinding them up and composting them or something.

Those beans might sprout! Then you’ll have a new crop.
    Nice rescue job.
Too much red tape I guess.
