Deja vu all over again

Two years ago Santa Rosa suffered major loss of lives, homes, and property when a wildfire swept across the northern part of town, just a couple of blocks from us. This year the fire was a couple of miles farther to the north when it was finally stopped — we hope — last night. This time the situation was exacerbated by a “public safety” shut down of the electric grid throughout much of Northern California. It’s been a rough, stressful few days, but it looks like Fire Chief Grumble-Face might make it through and ride again soon.

PS: These masks are absolutely useless if you have a beard.

They call me Old Grumble-Face. I have no idea why they do that....

Glad to see you’re safe. It’s crazy how bad the fires are while we (Denver) has had 14 inches of snow.
As. You said, the surgical masks aren’t helpful with beards. Maybe you could get a surplus astronaut helmet? That would be an interesting sight!
Hopefully you’ll get some relief soon.

I’m so sorry you and your community have to endure this again, Bill. I’ve been thinking about you ever since I heard of this fire.

Hope all is under control now. Really rough times for a lot of people.
I guess you wouldn’t remove your beard if your life depended on it, eh?

Glad you made it thru ok — hard to imagine being without power for as long as you were.
