February Challenge entry – Will this pass muster?

The weather has been sunny and dry for over a month now.  The land in the centre of Tassie is coming parched.

My trike is shown as a shadow cast by the early morning sun – is this an acceptable challenge entry?

Nice shot, Tony. I struggled with the same thoughts – how do I show deathly hot and dry? That’s definitely weather, but it looks like just a nice, sunny day if you aren’t there in the insane heat or on the crunchy grass. I thought maybe I could take pics of all the trees with brown leaf tips, the pools of melting bitumen or maybe all of the non-deciduous things that are dying. You have never seen so many brown agapanthus as this year! We can really only show the effect of that type of weather! We’ve had high humidity and storms this week. The rain has been most welcome!

The northern hemisphere folks have got the jump on us. Lots of snow is far more impressive than dead grass or an empty dam. Looks like your rain has finally come.

No question whether that is weather, cause, weather is weather whether the weather is ‘weather’ or whether it isn’t [‘weather’].
So, yes, it passes muster — I hope that clarifies whether weather is weather. 🙂

Looks hot to me! Technically, the photo doesn’t include the bike (only the shadow of the bike), so in that sense it might not qualify for the challenge, but the challenge is really about inspiring everyone to ride and participate here, which seems to be working. Worst case, you would receive an Honorable Mention and a lovely ribbon for good-natured effort.

Thanks all. I can live with an honourable mention.

It is actually raining today but I am not riding so no picture! Hopefully the southern end of the State is getting some on the fires.
