February challenge: Rolling into Spring

Well,it’s not quite spring yet, but we are leaving February in the rear view mirror.  Just time for one last look at the month’s weather, which on the whole has been pretty wonderful here in Portland.  The last day of the month was brilliant, and perfect for a ride to Rocky Butte to check out the volcanoes.

This is just a placeholder for now. I’ll add a real description when I get more time.

Please don’t bring up the wonderful weather in Portland again. It’s painful as I await 3-6 more inches of snow today.

Whine, whine, whine. We saw some snow today ourselves (like a whole half inch), so don’t feel so aggrieved.

I love the pic of the birds in the tree at sunset. And I envy (in a good way) that your greatest constraint to riding at the moment is the film screening schedule! Stunning photos, and I’m glad that it looks like you are really enjoying your time at ‘home’ before your next tour.

The crows are mesmerizing. I never tire of them (so far, at least). The natural world doesn’t often intrude on you in the middle of the city. It makes me think of the galahs in Halls Gap. I know they start wearing on you after awhile, but they’re thrilling.

The films are an interesting constraint. You hate to miss any, but when one is awful (I walked out on one last week that was just too bleak, which almost never happens) you wonder why you wasted your afternoon indoors.

Looks like you need a vacation! You are on a pretty demanding schedule, I don’t know how you fit it all in – and thanks for sharing. Wonderful and inspiring.
