Finding Without Searching

A ride through the woods and on country roads, not looking for anything. I knew there wouldn’t be any murals here or discarded bicycles. I had already found sheep (not in the shade though) and rust. “Let go searching” as Lao Tse said. Kind of a Zen thing. For lo and behold, there were sheep in the shade.

Sheep in the Shade

And some rusty farm equipment as well.
Some nice rusty farm equipment

I also got to observe some more fallen trees. It must have been a dramatic scene when these trees came crashing down in the storm, and imagine the sound of it al! Not that I would have wanted to be there…

I'm a US born ex-pat, having lived most of my adult life in Munich, Germany. Cycling and photography are my favorite things.

My goodness! That storm certainly caused some tree root disruption. Glad you were inside during the storm and not out riding through your own Sherwood Forest (I know that’s not really it’s name).

What a great find with the sheep in the shade. Hands down, you found the best copycat version of that theme. Plus some nice rusty equipment ta’ boot! Yay for you!!

Thanks, TJ! Glad you liked my sheep!

No, I don’t go out in storms!

AND β€” I would say that sheep copy also qualifies as a mural ;’-)

Proof once again that if you just go for a bike ride, you’ll SEE things. It happens all the time.
