First ride from new home

Like it was for Suzanne, May has been moving month for me.

Unlike Suzanne, I am still in the city centre, so my views look like this:

A combination of unpacking, lots of rain and indolence meant that it wasn’t until today that I rode my bike from my new home and out onto the city streets.

One block over from the apartment building is the Stripes Hotel.  The hotel façade is perfect for the May challenge:

Congrats on getting on your bike in spite of obstacles! Lots of rain here, too, and we’re still unpacking boxes and reconstructing our home. And our internet connection, promised for last Wednesday, hasn’t yet materialized. 😬

A high-speed internet connection was the first thing we set up. I hope you get your internet soon.

Great photo of that building. Hopefully your move went smoothly and was to a place you will enjoy ;’-)

The move went very well Nancy. Zulfa and I love the new place. It will be home for a long time.

Spectacular view of the city at night, and pretty cool brick work too!
    Enjoy your new place!

Thank you Rich. The new place is very nice. With a bike shop 100 metres away to boot!

I think you win the award for greatest total brick count in one photo. Good job!

That view is really something. What is it about a night scene like that? You can sit and look at it for an age and not be bored. And yet, there is cycling to be done and you have started!
