Gravity Check

Yep, its still working

The second story have been removed previously to prevent a collapse

Gravity had other ideas

Very much enjoy all the entries you all have provided -- great to see the everyday cycling venues. Being in eastern Illinois, scenery certainly isn't our forte, but oh well, the roads are normally quiet. Look forward to more and more entries from all of you, I do have a few over on BL -- in Bill's Day Rides, and one journal.

As someone — not me! — once said, “There is no gravity. The Earth sucks.”

Heh! Decades ago, someone has scrawled on the sidewalk near Centennial Hall at Illinois State a similar message regarding why outer space is a vacuum.

plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose

I imagine a quake on the New Madrid fault could really help gravity finish some things off in town!

After seeing your pictures, the phrase “built like a brick house” just doesn’t have the same sense of strength and permanence anymore.

Hmmm … you have Gravity AND Radiate in your post. Perhaps I now need to look for gravity as well.

Didn’t think about the bicycle wheels, or the ELF from those power lines — sharp observations you have!
May not see the ELF, but an AM radio will detect them.

Gravity wins for sure – as you say “plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose” and “panta rhei” as well.
