Halloween is in the Wings ;’-)

My first sighting of Halloween in my neighborhood. On my final ride of the month, I enjoyed some solo time on quiet Sunday morning streets before arriving for a tea & crumpet stop.

This yard was the first that had decorations up last year, so this year was an appropriate stop.

I do like to look at (and for) Holiday decorations and fun. I did see one or two more on my ride today, but am saving those for another ride. Though this is not a challenge, I will count it as a Daily Ride and update when I have new photos.

Halloween? It seems like we were just celebrating Easter! The yard decorations in the US can be so much fun and so creative – Halloween is such a fun holiday. I do miss the wild Halloween costume parties we used to have back in the US… BUT maybe I’m too old to have THAT much fun these days anyway!

Well, you know how it is — we have to push every holiday!! Halloween is big around here with many of the store clerks, office workers, restaurant staff and all others getting dressed in costumes for the day — or sometimes a a few days! It has never been one of my favorite holidays as I am not a fan of people in masks and you not knowing who they are. Just a quirk of mine. But I do enjoy the yard art that people come up with ;’-).
      Thanks for your comment.

Neighbor down the street was going all out on decorations today — we do a couple pumpkins with dollar store ‘jewels’ on them — and then keep busy sticking them back on. 🙂

Halloween has caught on here in Germany, too. I loved Halloween when I was little, like 7 or 8. But at some point it lost its magic. Times have changed, and so have I. lol

And I! I think what I liked most about it were the treats!!!

Halloween is very small in this part of Tassie. Last year a couple of dressed up little ones were walked around by their Parents doing “Trick or Treat”. Unfortunately the rest of the town had no idea what it was about and so they had little reward for their effort.

The shops are promoting the idea so they can sell more “stuff” so maybe this year it will grow.
