Here are some snow men — Neve(r) said they had to be snow?

50+F here today

Ride south of town found some remaining {snow} in shaded ditches

Actually recrystallized into what is called Neve or at a later stage Firn — snow, which under the right conditions can lead to glacial ice  — looks a lot like snow cone ice

No glacial ice forming here today but enough grainy ice to make some Snow (Ice) men

Similar to what Bill found to make his snowman

It might be properly asked why a 73 year old is making snow men at the side of a road while cycling

If anyone has to ask, they obviously wouldn’t understand the answer about being a participant in Cycle365

With Em’s issues trying to find proper equipment to make snowman material, I thought, Ill make a snowman for Greg, and another for Emily  🙂

As it happens a truck and trailer pull up  . . . . . . and thankfully didn’t ask about the snowmen

I just said I was finding 100 dollar bills in the ditch

It was JR’s dad who stopped, so all was cool (so to speak)   😉

Oh!  They did have eyes, noses, and a big grin, but not visible because they are looking to the northeast.   🙂

Very much enjoy all the entries you all have provided -- great to see the everyday cycling venues. Being in eastern Illinois, scenery certainly isn't our forte, but oh well, the roads are normally quiet. Look forward to more and more entries from all of you, I do have a few over on BL -- in Bill's Day Rides, and one journal.

Looks like they came from the same litter as my deranged mutant baby snow chipmunk. 😉

That thought did cross my mind — it really did.

Oh yeah! You have done two of those challenges now! Good for you to find these snow people available. ;’-)

I can see that you know what I mean by “snowman snow.” It takes a skilled craftsman (like you and Bill) to make a snowman out of icy stuff like that.

Nicely formed Neve snowmen! Compact & made without all the fussy rolling around of mounds of snow. Hopkins and I are impressed! Cheers & happy pedaling.

I love Neve and Firn. I hope they enjoyed their short time here thanks to your efforts 🙂

73 is still a youngster. A member of our cycle club is 78 and fittest guy there.
