Here is what I saw — A Compilation

A compilation of photos over several years and rides.

I find it interesting to see just the what might be called the Common Stuff of different places.

Ive intended to takes photos, for example, of a ride to the Post Office and back — nothing particularly striking about that, but, since 365 is about the bicycle in daily life, such a photo sequence would seem appropriate.

Things you would never think of photographing are probably what is the goal here — “who would ever want a picture of that??”

On a bicycle we see lots of stuff that would just be a blur or not noticed at all in an automobile — that’s the idea, such as it is.   🙂

Mundane photos of what I see are HERE

Very much enjoy all the entries you all have provided -- great to see the everyday cycling venues. Being in eastern Illinois, scenery certainly isn't our forte, but oh well, the roads are normally quiet. Look forward to more and more entries from all of you, I do have a few over on BL -- in Bill's Day Rides, and one journal.

    I like the idea of compiling all the little details of the rides. Looking back it’s sometimes more interesting than the “sights”. And I see your website is working well now. Good job.

    Thanks! There is a lot of interesting stuff in everyday things.

    The website didn’t come with any instructions, (that I’m aware of) so it was strictly trial and error — mostly error, and then when I did get something to work the question became — how did I just do that??

    Very nice collection of your outings near home.I always enjoy that as well and surely agree with you that there is lots of interesting things around us.

    I also know your pain about starting a blog with no ‘instruction booklet’. Looks like You are getting a hold on it though. Nice job. I think you will find it fun to keep a blog where you can drop your photos and keep your stories.

      Im finding most of my issues with the blog are either PEBCAK or ID 10 T problems 🙂

          Computer guru at school told me I kept making those errors 🙂

          PEBCAK == Problem Exists Between Chair and Keyboard
          ID 10 T == idiot

    A prosaic photo taken today might not mean much when viewed tomorrow, but when viewed in ten or twenty or thirty years or more, it can prove to be a glimpse of a half-forgotten era, a treasured memory from the past.

      Very true.
      Why captions, or notes on the back of the old school photos are a good idea to recall (or inform someone else) what the photo is.
