HOLIDAYS CHALLENGE — VETERAN’S DAY

Interestingly, my ears hear just about everyone calling it ‘Vetran’s Day’). I was beginning to wonder if I was spelling it incorrectly. But no, I am correct that the word has three syllables. Though I did a ride today, I did not ride by an actual, posted named memorial. But — I did get this photo of what I think is a WWI Airman.

I started the ride in what one might consider thick fog! I do not know if these are kids or adults readying for a soccer game at the school field. But for Greg — here is another technique for taking somewhat forbidden photos ;’-)

Now, who can say that I did not meet the monthly challenge as well ???

Im running out of BOLOs here lol

Interesting anecdote (maybe) — the parting words from the head of the Geography Dept at Illinois State University to us graduates was: “Dont ever pronounce it ‘Geography’ — always say Joggerfee — or else no one will know what the hell you are talking about.”

Seriously, true story. Dr. John Trotter — maybe Bill or his Ace Support crew remembers him.

That IS and interesting anecdote. Different areas have different dialect and change words to fit!

I forgot about the old “Disappear-Into-A-Thick-Fog” photography technique. It not only works to conceal you, but it can produce a pretty cool picture too–like the one you posted.

Thanks Greg. Glad you like the photo AND the hide in the fog photography trick!

Off topic —- when I go into my post, there is a place at the bottom that asks for my name, email and website. AND I am not getting notification of any replies on my posts.
Does anyone know what has happened?

I have always gotten just that at the end of my post — until today when this other stuff came up. It is as if I am replying to my own message and need to enter all that info. I tried logging out and back in with no luck. I will try shutting it down and reopen. — well, that didn’t work either.

I also got that strange thing on your post asking for name, email and website when I commented! Here it’s normal. I wonder where the other comment went?

Strangely, as with one I filled out, you other comment went directly to my email! I wish I — or somebody could figure this out. I feel I must have hit a wrong button or something.
