Interesting Road Swag

Beautiful morning for a solo ride which became rather interesting south of town.  On the lookout for Spontaneous Ejection objects, I spied a black — what I thought was a bicycle tool case or CO2 kit — along the road.  Rode on past it, had second thoughts,. and turned around to photograph and investigate it.  Not a tool kit, not a CO2 inflator at all.  See below:

Maybe a glasses case?

Now that is interesting!

A meth pipe and the stuff to make it I’m told

Gingerly re-closed it, clamped it on the rack and headed home to a major hand washing, handlebar, brake lever, and rack disinfecting!

A call to Hooterville’s finest, and the problem is taken care of.

This may be jumping the gun on a possible July Challenge of Road Swag and/or Anything of Interest that seems to have spontaneously ejected on to the road.

Oh, I found a quarter on east Thompson too!  🙂

Very much enjoy all the entries you all have provided -- great to see the everyday cycling venues. Being in eastern Illinois, scenery certainly isn't our forte, but oh well, the roads are normally quiet. Look forward to more and more entries from all of you, I do have a few over on BL -- in Bill's Day Rides, and one journal.

Wow, that is certainly the most interesting and unusual road find I’ve ever heard of. Some people have all the luck; I never seem to find anything cool like that.

All I knew was it appeared to have something to do with drugs — the officer explained what it is and how its used.
Interesting how it got along the road — jettisoned or simply fell off a vehicle?
I did inquire as to whether I was about to be arrested for illegal possession. 😉

Rich, you always led us to believe Hooterville was a pretty quiet place. Now I see the makings of a true-crime drama right there in your town!

Yabbut, we are Coronoa-free (I think) (maybe) 🙂

Since the Spontaneous Ejection concept was originally suggested by your-own-self, I defer and hope you will develop the Challenge for July perhaps?

That was a very nice and tidy drug bag. I would have been doing a heck of a lot of disinfecting, too, after touching that.
