July Challenge — Black

The only known large black surfaces here are asphalt driveways

Very much enjoy all the entries you all have provided -- great to see the everyday cycling venues. Being in eastern Illinois, scenery certainly isn't our forte, but oh well, the roads are normally quiet. Look forward to more and more entries from all of you, I do have a few over on BL -- in Bill's Day Rides, and one journal.

I love all the photos of the different aspects of your black bike. Catching black seems rather difficult to impossible without a bit of thought and correct timing, and perhaps a bit of trickery!

Gee, I dunno, Rich. That driveway is looking kinda gray. Might need a fresh layer of tar to seal it and blacken it up again. 😉

Interesting in that yesterday one of those Fly by Night sealer people were all over the neighborhood and did lots of driveways — we took a pass on them.

My cousin and I got that fresh black tar stuff all over us one summer when we were about 10. To this day, the smell of it makes me gag – it took weeks to get it off us, boy did we get in trouble! I do like your nice, shiny bike though!

Great set of bicycle pictures. And is that bike ever shiny and polished!
