July’s Challenge: Willow Grove

As I mentioned earlier, this is a particularly easy challenge for me.  You don’t have to look far in the Northwest before finding something old, decrepit, and rusting away.  Our ride to Willow Grove had plenty of material, and it was hard to chose a featured image.  I went with the Elgin in the Longview car show, but I was tempted by the anchor at the Willow Grove boat launch too.  Continue reading here to see some other fine relics from this outing.

This is just a placeholder for now. I’ll add a real description when I get more time.

The Elgin looks a great deal like a bicycle a lady in town had when I was a kid. Her only means of transportation. The skirt guard always intrigued me. Only bicycle in town that had one as I remember.
Not so sure about Rat’s Car Club!! 😉

Scott, on many of my rides, especially uphill, I think I drag that anchor along with me.

PS: I think your link leads to the CycleBlaze page for editing mode rather than the usual page for reading.
